We are looking for a dynamic individual to organize and lead a variety of engaging recreational activities for adolescents aged 11-18 with specific health conditions such as Diabetes, Epilepsy, or Cystic Fibrosis. The goal is to help these young individuals enhance their cognitive, social, and emotional skills while enjoying the services provided. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary pediatric teams, your role will involve utilizing your specialized skills to contribute to the well-being of the young participants, their families, and caregivers.
You will be responsible for creating a welcoming and stimulating environment within the clinic, fostering a supportive peer network, and conducting surveys to assess the quality of life, confidence levels, and self-management ratings of the youth. Working closely with children, you will also organize and facilitate workshops within the community and support the broader youth services at the hospital to ensure alignment with the National Youth Agency Curriculum.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young individuals facing unique health challenges and be dedicated to providing a positive and enriching experience. If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of adolescents and contributing to their overall well-being, we would love to hear from you!
