Trade Counter Sales Assistant

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team in a vibrant city center location. This is a full-time position (42 hours per week) with a family-owned packaging specialist company.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers, process sales, and provide product guidance both in-store and over the phone.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our wide range of packaging products to assist customers effectively.
• Operate the EPOS system proficiently to manage transactions and oversee deliveries.
• Handle stock replenishment, organize inventory, and utilize forklifts for inbound and outbound deliveries.
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to uphold company standards and meet customer expectations.
• Utilize IT systems to manage sales, deliveries, and customer inquiries efficiently.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Sales Counter Manager, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service. You should excel in building relationships and exceeding customer expectations.

This position offers a three-month trial period with a six-month induction.

Requirements:

• Strong organizational skills and numerical proficiency.
• Proficiency in IT with confidence in phone communication and customer service.
• Proximity to the city center for an 8:00 am start.
• Experience with EPOS systems is advantageous.

We are seeking individuals with a background in retail, strong customer service skills, IT proficiency, team player mentality, and a valid driver's license. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

The successful applicant is expected to commence on Monday, 5th August 2024, or earlier.
