Functional Specialist

As a Functional Specialist, you will conduct impartial, thorough assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP) while delivering a personalized, inclusive, safe, and compassionate service to claimants.

Your Role:

  • Manage caseloads from start to finish, conducting face-to-face, virtual assessments, telephone assessments, and paper-based reports
  • Assess a wide range of health conditions and disabilities affecting claimants
  • Enjoy autonomy and varied responsibilities to see cases through completion
  • Allocated time for breaks, CPD, audit reviews, evidence gathering, and team meetings

Requirements:

  • Qualified Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic
  • Minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience
  • Active registration with NMC or HCPC with no restrictions
  • Excellent communication skills and proficient IT literacy

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £38,500.00 - £41,500.00 per year

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
