MISSION
As a direct report to the Senior Director, Executive and Professional Programs, you will assist in the creation and implementation of the RAC program. Responsibilities include managing project timelines, fostering stakeholder collaboration, and overseeing communication strategies. Your role will involve research, development of assessment tools, faculty training, progress tracking, and ensuring program alignment with university standards and strategic objectives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the planning and execution of RAC activities university-wide. Develop a comprehensive project plan with timelines, milestones, and deliverables for program implementation.
  • Coordinate resources, schedules, and tasks to keep the project on schedule and within budget.
  • Engage with faculty, academic advisors, and external partners to enhance collaboration and support. Schedule and conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to update progress, gather input, and address concerns.
  • Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to identify suitable courses and credit requirements for the RAC initiative. Apply pedagogical principles to assist faculty in designing evaluation strategies, including authenticating documentation and creating effective assessment tools and methodologies for prior learning evaluation.
  • Assist in devising communication strategies to inform students, staff, and external affiliates about the RAC program. Help in crafting promotional materials and organizing informational events and workshops.
  • Conduct training sessions for faculty and staff involved in prior learning assessments. Offer guidance to departments in handling student RAC applications efficiently.
  • Create tools/resources (guidelines, frameworks, templates) to support subject matter experts in establishing RAC processes and regulations.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans. Tackle issues promptly to maintain project momentum.
  • Participate in relevant working groups or committees as required.
  • Conduct research that aids in implementing competency recognition.
  • Monitor project progress closely to ensure key milestones and deliverables are achieved. Generate regular reports on project status, including progress, challenges, and suggestions for enhancement.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Master's degree in education, Educational Technology, or a related field, along with 2-4 years of experience in educational program development or a related area
  • Preference for experience in higher education environments, showing a good grasp of academic standards and policies
  • Past engagement in stakeholder communications, curriculum design, and project coordination highly valued
  • Expertise in prior learning assessment or competency-based education
  • Proficiency in educational technology tools and systems
  • Cross-cultural competency for effective interactions with diverse stakeholders
  • Innovative mindset to explore novel approaches to prior learning recognition
  • Strong focus on customer service with an emphasis on student success
  • Ability to adapt to organizational changes and unforeseen hurdles
  • Excellent research skills to conduct thorough research aiding in program development
  • Experience in instructional design to create training, workshops, and programs
  • Skilled in pedagogical and andragogical practices in higher education, forming assessment tools and methodologies, and comprehension of academic evaluation procedures
  • Experience in delivering training sessions and workshops, particularly in an educational context
  • Demonstrated project management abilities, including crafting detailed project plans, managing timelines, and coordinating activities
  • Analytical skills to oversee project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with varied stakeholders and fostering collaboration
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Canva, Asana, and LMS systems
  • Aptitude for team collaboration and contribution to strategic initiatives aligned with institutional objectives
