Job Description


We are currently seeking an Assistant Planning Adviser for the Midlands and East Region. This role involves working on a variety of projects in some of the UK's most cherished locations, providing you with valuable experience in policy and development management.

As part of the Trust's internal consultancy, you will join a team of experts including curators, fundraisers, building surveyors, and project managers. Collaborating with this multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in driving projects forward.

Your primary responsibilities will include offering professional planning advice and support to colleagues within the consultancy and various National Trust sites across the region. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse challenges, from significant infrastructure projects to the preservation of historic buildings, aiming to make them more sustainable and accessible to all.

We are looking for candidates who have a strong understanding of planning and local government regulations, experience in analyzing and resolving planning issues, and excellent communication and organizational skills. This role also requires close collaboration with local planning authorities and other relevant bodies.
